Treat versus cheat

How often have you said to yourself declaring, “today is going to be MY CHEAT DAY” and before you know it you have absolutely eaten all-round yourself.

The amount of guilt that you feel from eating almost everything not on the list for a healthy lifestyle consumes you and sometimes spills into the next day and the day after that. When the cheat subsides, the next stage is a ball of emotion, “I give up I cannot do this, this is too hard”. When this happens and it happens to us all. We become the hamster on the wheel, a vicious cycle of punishing ourselves. Then we start back on our “diet” again and before you know it, we become the hamster again and the cycle continues. Remember, when we cheat we fall off the wagon and we continue with the shit binge eating cycle. This is where TREAT comes in, all it is, is a simple play on words, you change the word cheat to treat. By doing this the subconscious guilt that we associate with cheating eventually goes. Why you ask. Well that’s simple, because we know we worked hard to be able to treat ourselves and treating ourselves is a worthwhile reward. Treat is a small luxury once per week.
